The Compliance Committee is one of the organs of the Organisation (Article 9 of the Convention) and was constituted with specific terms of reference by the Commission in 2007. In performing its functions, the Compliance Committee shall conduct activities as the Commission may direct and shall coordinate compliance activities undertaken by or on behalf of the Organisation, coordinate with the Scientific Committee on matters of common concern and perform such other tasks as directed by the Commission.
